Our Story

Nancy and David’s story begins as high school sweethearts in 1974. She was a freshman and he was a senior. College separated them, with the exception of Nancy’s frequent visits to David at George Washington University in DC. Nancy designed jewelry and sold it in her boutique in Cedarhurst, NY while attending Hofstra University. After college, David worked for a consumer products company.  That didn’t last long, since he was making more money selling Nancy’s designs at the corporate headquarters in New York.  In 1980, he invested in Nancy’s jewelry business and they married July 4th, 1982.

Nancy and David won "Designer of the Year" in 1985 and within a couple of years the company grew to 40 employees in NYC. They supplied major department stores and upscale independent jewelers worldwide. In addition to their wholesale distribution, Nancy and David entered into the retail trade in 1999, opening an exclusive jewelry gallery in their hometown. They opened the retail gallery so they could be raise their three children together. They have two sons and a daughter. Nancy and David have managed to balance family and business, although business compromises are always made prioritizing their family first.

Nancy and David have been recognized with jewelry trade awards for best design, and best trade show booth as exhibitors at shows in the USA & Basel, Switzerland.  They were pioneers in the late 1980’s, creating designer brand awareness in the jewelry trade, and doing ground breaking consumer advertising in VOGUE, VANITY FAIR AND TOWN AND COUNTRY. Their light humored advertising has received an Advertising industry award.  Some ads show an image of jewelry, followed by quotes such as …”How badly do you want to play golf this weekend?” or “Three days until your anniversary and you still don’t have a clue!”… Or…“Happy Wife, Happy Life!”…Nancy has appeared as a guest on QVC selling their signature collection of silver jewelry designed especially for the QVC customer.  Her debut show sold out in 36 minutes, a QVC record for a Designer Jewelry premier show.

Nancy and David support many charities and non profit organizations. They have established themselves as both community and business leaders. David has been on the Millburn-Short Hills board of the Chamber of Commerce & the Downtown Millburn Development Alliance, which oversees the special improvement district. They donated a street clock to the township, which has become a landmark for the community.

Nancy and David have expanded their gallery for your shopping pleasure. "The Teen Boutique" and "The Registry" was created in 2001, and inspired by their daughter, Chelsea, to feature affordable diamonds, custom made-to-order, monogram jewelry, and watches, celebrating special occasions in life. Enjoy an espresso, or a glass of wine in a beautiful lounge area outfitted with a flat screen TV, dim lighting, and comfortable seating, especially designed for the "companion", who would rather relax and be entertained, than shop. While Nancy is known for her selection of glittering jewels, and David for his expertise in custom made jewelry, he is becoming well known for his baking skills. His home-baked (yes, he bakes twice a week) cookies have become the "Millburn Rave" among loyal shoppers....

Nancy and David welcome the opportunity to design just for you in their new "Jeweled Home"……
